Jean-Luc Popovics

Mr. Popovics is co-founder of Clovis. He has served as Associate Director in Clovis since early 2004. Mr. Popovics has over 20 years experience in the telecommunication and IT industries with both equipment and services vendors.
Prior to joining Clovis, Mr. Popovics served as Director of Sales and Business Development at Alcatel Services, where his experience was key to identify opportunities and to get new businesses with various operators. Previously Mr. Popovics spent three years with Unisys in France where, as Telecom Major Accounts Director, he opened and successfully developed new accounts in the telecom area (from 0 to $55M in 3 years). Before that, Mr. Popovics had spent 8 years with telecom test equipment manufacturers (Tekelec Technologies then Wavetek), as head of their French activities ($20M revenue per annum), impulsing a 20% growth per year. He had the opportunity to manage the marketing and the development of ATM, SDH and other test products ranges.
He has a deep knowledge of all significant French operators (specially France Telecom and their subsidiaries, and Neuf-Cegetel) integrators and manufacturers, including personal relationships with the management team. He used to be the President of the ENST Alumni Association for 6 years.
Mr. Popovics holds an Engineering Degree from the Ecole Polytechnique of Paris, France’s most prestigious “Grande Ecole”, and an Electrical Engineering Degree from the ENST (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications of Paris).
